Such a terrible experience at this restaurant. They were happy to take our money offering us a table, didn’t mention a word about impending closing time. We sat down at 4:15pm and food didn’t come until 4:25pm and at precisely 4:30pm they turned off the lights above our table while we’re still eating. Such a terrible experience at this restaurant. They were happy to take our money offering us a table, didn’t mention a word about impending closing time. We sat down at 4:15pm and food didn’t come until 4:25pm and at precisely 4:30pm they turned off the lights above our table while we’re still eating. When we complained about it to the manager who was sitting nearby, eating food from another restaurant, instead of being apologetic, he said ‘everyone in HK should know that afternoon tea is closing latest at 4:30pm.’ Really?? All restaurants have different open/closing times. Is this the way to treat a customer? Staff even said that in fact the restaurant closes at 5pm, so why turning off the lights for customers half hour beforehand? When we responded the manager then said ‘oh I’m just having a private conversation with my colleague’ yeah right about the closing time we ‘just happened’ to be complaining about at the very same moment…?!?
