From time to time, we crave for Jap food don't we? Especially in HK, we have such a heavy influence of Japanese culture, probably since "Red White" . We are here today for some Japanese don that we have recently seen a lot on social media. The place is pretty basic with just around 10 tables and I strongly believe that they can keep the tables a bit cleaner because I could see some oil stain on the table. The two-tier don has fish on top, and crab and more at the bottom.
We have ordered another don that has a good variety of fresh sashimi including toro, scallops, Botan ebi, uni, tamago, hamachi.
Uni is pretty standard with a subtle bittersweet aftertaste and the sea water taste is also noticeable.
Botan ebi is also fresh with a sweet taste. The sticky texture is irresistible and really delicious. My all time favourite that is pretty hard to fail.
Though this place is a bit far away from both cwb or wan chai MTR, you should pay a visit if you have never come here before.
