It was quite a disappointing dinner for me. I was lucky that I was not extremely hungry on that day. My friend had to wait for his unagi rice bowl for an hour while I waited for my scallop and salmon bowl for 45 minutes after asking the waiter who didn’t know how to politely tell the customers to wait. We were both frustrated yet we were not the only table waiting for food. There was a family next to us, who have been in the restaurant longer than us and they only started their appetizers when we finally got our meals!?!?!?!? We both numerously made eye contacts and smirked because we were on the same boat. I later laughed and told my friend that the chef’s catching fresh fish at the moment from the sea. The restaurant was serving max 5 tables on that day. Despite that, it took ages for them to bring food. When I finally got my meal and started eating on my own awkwardly while my friend was waiting for his, I saw the quality of sashimi (salmon and scallop) was...just not that great. They were dry and not fresh. I could have been able to have this from the sushi convenient store. The one in the mtr. He got his and the portion was not great meaning not enough and the eel looked quite dry like mine too. Overall, I would rather go to Genki instead. Not worth paying average 200 hkd per meal. I can eat more from Genki!
