For the savory items on the top layer, you’ll find cold and stale brioche stuffed with a disproportionately small amount of prawn topped with a very artificial Yuzu sauce. The black mini slider bun with chicken breast and corn filler was also 90% cold bread with 10% stuffing. The cakes and other sweet items were much better, but still sub par compared to the afternoon teas available at other 5 star hotels. You’d think that waiters would speak fluent English at a 5-star hotel restaurant but not only did they not understand simple requests, they also seemed indifferent to our patronage. View was great, that’s about it, but we’re never coming back

You’ll get much, much better value for money at Island Shangri-La, Rosewood etc if not for the view ie if you actually care about the food. Avoid tea at the Ritz.
