My friend brought me to this restaurant last night for dinner. It's my first time to Munch and I didn't have any expectation for the restaurant. The restaurant located at 1/F of One Knutsford and it's a quiet place which they separated 2 seated and large group booking in different sections. We have set dinner (I hated studying menus) that's a combination of soup/salad, main course and coffee.
It's really hot so we both have salad to start. Lettuces is fresh served in cold plate. That's the way I like!
We share the main course:
Pork rack with mushroom mashed potato
Duck Confit and foie gras risotto
The pork rack crusted by cheese, fried in golden colour but not oily. It's juicy and tender. I wonder it's not only the chef's technique, but the good quality of the meat is an advantage. We finished the whole thing with the mushroom potato purée.
Fragrances of duck oil arose my appetite for the dish. Crispy duck skin and foie gras favoured risotto is a good match and tasted rich.
Munch made a simple dishes in special style and tasty. I definitely will visit again with my family and friends.
