The restaurant was a hassle to find, and I had doubts about whether even anyone would be inside, based off the isolated-looking exterior. But once you step inside, you enter a hidden world of colourful decorations, with truly the most unique and charming atmosphere.

We wanted to order the pork jowl omurice and thai pork udon, but we were informed that it wasn’t available anymore as their new menu is coming out soon and dishes are being revamped. The cantonese names for the dishes are hilarious and got us laughing.

First up was the “tofu tofu tofu coffee”: blended silken tofu and soy milk as the base layer, followed by espresso and topped off with a ball of tofu ice cream. The result was phenomenal, full of fresh tofu flavour, a combination that everyone must try! We asked for the syrup to be separate, which was a good idea; the drink was the perfect amount of sweetness.

Next came the “Crab crab crab meat crab butter fettuccine”. It had a strong crab aroma and the pasta was extremely creamy, with tender crab meat and even more flakes of crab meat mixed throughout the whole pasta.

Then came the “Whatever fried platter”, which consisted of long and thick french fries, onion rings, squid rings and shrimps. Everything was crispy and not too oily, although the shrimp was so-so.

The next dish unfortunately took over 30 minutes to arrive. If only I had ordered the steak, but I was deterred by fine print warning that it would take some time, 15 minutes to be exact. How ironic that the choice I resorted to, to save time, took twice the time! It was the “Taste of hell creamy spinach risotto”. The first few bites were good, but to be honest, the dish was quite bland. But I do admit that it was extremely creamy, and there was a lot of spinach! The risotto also had bites of fried tofu thay elevated the whole dish.
