unreasonable charge for cutting birthday cake

I went to this restaurant for dinner with ten family members cause it was my daughter's birthday.We bought a birthday cake along and asked if we can cut the cake however they opened their mouth like a lion and said we had to pay one hundred dollars for cutting the cake. I've never thought of that because we had done so in other restaurants which is free of charge.Finally we only took photos with the cake and not cut it of course.
