We planned to dine out tonight and decided on Dim Sum Bar. It was located at Gateway Arcade, Harbour City.Upon entering the restaurant, it was spacious and the theme colour was in red, with a gigantic ceiling light hanging at the middle. They have a meal set for 2 or 4 person, ranging from $298 to $1688. We chose the $298 set, consisting of 2 dim sum, 2 dishes, 1 rice and 1 dessert. Steamed 'xiao long bao' with crab roe - The skin was soft and thin in texture and the fillings inside was juicy and chewy, served hot.
Steamed pork dumplings with leek and peanuts - The skin was slightly thick and leek and peanuts filling inside were very chewy, with chilli oil helping to enhance the flavour.
Deep fried ox brisket - I particularly liked the dish, as the skin was fried till very crispy and yet the ox brisket was still tender and chewy, with sauce provided to dip onto it.
Sweet and sour pork with sliced pineapple - Sweet and sour pork was very chewy and juicy, sweet and sour in taste, with pineapple slices, red and green chilli in it as well.
Steamed rice with chicken feet and pork ribs - The chef was generous with the portion of the ingredients, with alot of steamed chicken and chicken feet on top of the clay pot. Soy sauce was provided to pour onto it, and the rice was cooked till chewy. Steamed chicken and feet were chewy and juicy as well.
Steamed black sesame rolls - Black sesame roll was very soft and sweet, with strong black sesame taste.
