We visited Lotus Cafe for lunch this week and were disappointed in the quality and taste of the dishes.

The beef brisket curry dish I ordered was bland and when served on the table, it was only luke warm. I always expect good Chinese food to be piping hot. So I’ve politely pointed the problem to a staff and was let down when it returned from a microwave after a few minutes. The microwave reheating process dried up the sauce.

Another dish we had was the fried pork chop with udon, which also was very mediocre. The broth was tasteless. It’s a stable dish in most HK cafés, though this was probably the worst version I’ve tasted at this price range.

The service was fast and polite.

Though attention to hygiene and cleanliness should be improved. The tables were sticky and tissues from previous guests were left on the floor and not cleaned.

There is plenty of free parking onsite.
