Went there for breakfast on a sunday around 1030. Standing in front of the till, no breakfast menu was available, so i asked for one. Till lady directed to the fridge, where boxes of cooked breakfast were sitting. They had pancakes, sausages & scramble egg, and a vegetarian choice as well. But it felt like i was standing in front of a 7-11 instant food stand, except the price tag for each box is ranging from $40-50.So i had given up on those cold pre-cooked over-priced instand breakfast, and ask
So i had given up on those cold pre-cooked over-priced instand breakfast, and asked for any hot food. The very same till lady then pointed to the sign of 'homemade lasagne'. So i was thinking, lasagne is not a bad choice for breakfast, at least they should be fresh enough. Then i stood there for almost 5 mins, during that period, the till lady was chitchating with her colleague, but refusing to introduce her 'precious' menu to the customers. And i was one of the three customers in the shop that time, there was another couple standing there with me, and they were ignored like me as well.
Then i ordered the lasagne + camomile tea, and found a seat at the far back of the shop. Which i would say the shop is quite small indeed, around 5 tables plus 4 couches. The beef lasagne was served hot, the taste was not too bad; but the box (yes, they used the same kind of microwave-able box i found in the fridge, to serve food dining in) was full of precipitation, making the pasta very soggy.
The shop is so small that my couch that i was sitting in where literally 3 steps away from the lavatory. And the till lady's colleague kept shifting the trash bin aside which was right in front of their staff lockers to retrieve stuff, it was three times during my less than 20 mins stay. And i wish she did wash her hands every time after touching that rash bin.
By the time i left the cafe, walking past another couple who were ordering lasagne as well, asking whether they had anything with no beef, that time i just found out they did serve vegetarian lasagne as well. This kept me wondering why the shop keepers were that not enthusiastic in promoting their new menu for this new shop.
