Kwai Chung Plaza has a lot of very interesting and very different restaurants. All are tiny and all are take away only. One place is 品香雞. A small take away only place that sells Hainan chicken rice. We chose a boneless Hainan chicken rice ($50). It was neatly packed in a styrofoam box. Portion was very VERY generous. Underneath the chicken was crunchy bean sprouts. The chicken was a bit on the fat side and was seasoned well. Meat was moist. But it was the rice that was very good. Not too oily and well flavoured with the taste of chicken fat.
It came with a Chinese soup that was fairly good. A simple chicken, corn and carrot soup.
The sauces were in tiny little containers. The chilli was exceptionally spicy.
For $50, the portion size was enough for both of us to share. Taste was good and service was fast.
