Sweet Button Desserts is located along the same street as the infamous "B Son" dessert place. The shop has recently renewed their whole menu to welcome this hot summer. As I live quite far away, it was great to find a place to hang out with my friends in this Yuen Long area. With a fridge stocking a few selection of cakes, we have decided to go for their platter to share. The combo contains 5 chef selected desserts from a la carte menu and 3 mystery desserts. It was pretty satisfying to share among three people.
We were told that the selected and mystery desserts changes from time to time therefore customers can always be surprised with their mysterious combo! Everything was edible from this combo including some "buttons" made with chocolates and some crumbs.

The matcha panna cotta was topped with some Japanese red bean, then crushed yuzu granite. The matcha delivered a hint of bittersweet aftertaste, while the yuzu granite gave a sour and sweet taste from the top. If you like the match of sour and bitter taste, you may like this dessert very much.

The rich chocolate ganache was prepared with black pepper chips, and topped with some artistic crispy carrot. The dark chocolate was quite rich in taste and soft like mousse in texture. The prominent was pretty heavy and strong compared to other dessert items therefore we were recommended to have this last.

This apple crumble was very crumbly instead of firm. The warm and sweet diced apple was always a good match with some chilled vanilla ice cream.

A pretty healthy dessert cup to enjoy which was filled with some diced carambola fruit and other mixed fruits, with some two fried carambola crisp on top as garnish.

The steamed egg was prepared by mixing berries in it. The rose on top was actually made from apple slices! The rose was surprisingly crispy and hard to texture. It was best to break it down and have it with the soft steamed egg at the bottom.
This dessert was quite light with a rather runny texture. The apple crisp gave an even more refreshing feel when complementing with this berries base.

A mix of sweet and sour cup to enjoy especially when you like egg white meringue. There were two types of meringue including the softer whipped one and the harder baked one.
This might be one of the sweetest dessert in this combo set so maybe you should also leave it for later.

A lighter version of the chocolate mousse when comparing to the 70% version. The mousse was indeed smooth and creamy in texture. It was then topped with some crispy corn flakes like and interestingly two sheets of deep fried soya sheet which didn't really have a strong taste but only for decoration.
