My friend 'R' were drawn to its hip decoration and floor-to-ceiling windows, so it beat the burger joint in winning our heart!!We were warmly welcomed by the young and energetic waiters there. 1. 香酥九製陳皮骨
Although it was a deep-fried dish, its taste was not bland like most deep-friend food is. It was sprinkled with a tinge of sourness. It made a good appetiser. My food cravings defied the rational and i kept popping it into my mouth one after one!
2. 麻醬番茄
A red tomato was coated in the sauce and they made a perfect match! The freshness of the tomato oozed in my mouth and it was not overshadowed by the sauce.
Of course we couldn't resist desserts. R ordered a pumpkin pudding puree and I cashew nut pudding puree. They were thick and creamy and left a long-lasting aftertaste.
What i liked best about this restaurant is the service by a Filipino. Though her presence seems kinda out of place in a Chinese restaurant, her attentive and warm service definitely made up for her misplaced presence!
Tasty food, good service and silly yet inspiring chat made this a great restaurant.
