Heard that this is quite a famous Taiwanese restaurant so went in to give it a try. Heard that this is quite a famous Taiwanese restaurant so went in to give it a try. Located in Times Square, it is a convenient dining place during shopping trips in Causeway Bay and the place was comfortable and hygienic.
The food came relatively soon. We ordered the Fried Rice with Sakura Shrimps and Ginger ($88), Taiwan Taro Cake ($48) and the Deep-fried Chicken with Salty and Crispy in Taiwan Style ($68), to share amongst the 2 of us. The rice looked colourful and very appetising but it was dry and rather flavourless and thus was quite disappointing. For the main dish, I saw a lot of other customers order the Chicken in Clay Pot/ Braised Chicken which was still sizzling and smelled amazing when it arrived at our neighbouring table. For the taro cake, the dense mashed texture was quite unique but again it tasted quite bland. It was a very filling dish. And last but not least, for the Deep-fried Chicken (鹽酥雞), it was a good choice as the strong flavours of the peppery, salty powder balanced out the whole meal. Even though the restaurant was famous for its noodles, we did not order it as the portions were very small and we were quite hungry.

Overall, we spent over $300 and it was an Ok meal only so I was not very impressed but not mad. I think I did not order the right dishes this time.
