Flash Coffee is a chain of coffee shops that have opened throughout Hong Kong. Originally from Jakarta, Indonesia, the flashy yellow shops are mostly geared for take away. There is also an app that you can use to order your coffee before arriving, so you don't waste time waiting for your cup of joe. The app also has various challenges and other promotional items to make it worth your while to download. I wasn't too keen on downloading an app before I tried out the coffee ... who knows if I'd li
The Causeway Bay branch has a few space to dine in. So, I decided to go to this one.
Menu is in English and Chinese. There is no 10 % service charge. They have a variety of coffee and non coffee drinks along with pastries and baked goods sourced from elsewhere.
I got myself a small ice latte ($25). Even if you don't use the app, it's very fast. I received my coffee before I had time to put away my wallet. Price was not expensive. One of the cheapest coffees I've ever paid for. But it was terrible. It just tasted like milk. The coffee wasn't strong at all and I could hardly taste it. Probably one of the worst coffees I've had in a long time.
I added a red velvet cookie ($40) and there was an 8% discount. The cookie was from Cookie Dept so there wasn't any surprises here. It was good. Soft and chewy. Probably the only thing good I ordered.
Coffee was terrible so will not be back. It may not be expensive but not good at all. I've had better coffee at McCafe.
