Upon entering the upstairs cafe located in an industrial building, you’ll see an array of imported products, wooden furniture, Japanese magazines, Mount Fuji ornaments and many other elements contributing to the authentic Japanese vibe here. I finally decided on the karaage (Japanese fried chicken), which surely didn’t disappoint! The outer crispy skin contrasted the tender meat inside while the creamy tartar sauce paired with the squeeze-it-yourself lemon juice added a burst of tanginess. The side lettuce shreds topped with a generous portion of mayonnaise helped balance out the meal. The set also included an appetizer (sesame tofu), miso soup and a beverage (50% off to upgrade to special drinks).

I got the purple potato latte, which looked dreamy with the beautiful swirls and shades of lilac. However, I was a little disappointed as it tasted like a cloud - the sweet potato flavor was very mild and it felt more like drinking fresh milk instead.
