The alfresco terrace pictures lured me to try this place. It's an a very convenient location - just a block away from The One. It was easy to find. We arrived at their opening time, 11:30am. It was quite empty and we were immediately seated. Due to the weather, we sat indoors but the floor-to-celing ensured that we had lovely natural lighting. We arrived at their opening time, 11:30am. It was quite empty and we were immediately seated. Due to the weather, we sat indoors but the floor-to-celing ensured that we had lovely natural lighting.
On our arrival, we were told that it's their first day of offering brunch menu. The ofer was: $299(+10% service charge) for their appertiser buffet bar, soup, choice of main, dessert of the day + tea/coffee - what a great offer! We were first presented with garlic bread to share - was toasted perfectly to give a good crunch. The quality alligned with that expereinced at their branch on the HK side. Since it was their first day of offering the buffet lunch, the kitchen had not yet completed preparing the appertiser buffet bar. This was not a big problem as we were offered warm water and the toast and soup kept us occipied. The soup tasted like tomato soup with seafood - we didnt particularly like this soup much. The appertiser buffet has cold cuts, roasted vegetables and salar assortment - our favourite was the duck breast salad. For the mains, we each choose different things to sample more variety. The first was foie gras prime beef burger. The chips that came with it was delicious! There was no complaints on the burger and it was veru thoughtful of them to put the condiments like tomato and pickles on the side (since I dont like pickle with my burgers) Next was the grilled prime rib-eye steak (medium rare). We were very happy with the way it came out - just as expected. It was very juicy. Finally, the pan-seared king salmon fillet has a wonderful pink interior indicating that it was cooked perfectly. The little vegetables that it came with was very amusing as well! We ended the meal with the artistic dessert - very well presented and tasted good with a cup of latte. This was a very heavy meal that is a bang for the buck! I might return again and perhaps skip the salad buffet.
