Before Cedele opened up, I was pretty excited by it. There were signs up with pictures of sandwiches that looked quite appetizing. But after it opened I became sort of wary. With some trepidation, I ordered the chicken arrabiata with whole wheat spaghetti. For all the sauces, you get to pick your pasta, which is nice. I liked the whole wheat spaghetti and it was perfectly al dente. The sauce was ever-so-mildly spicy and there were plenty of mushrooms, but not much else in the way of vegetables. The chicken seemed a little out of place-- it had a crispy sweet glaze on the outside. In addition, it was a really fatty chicken thigh. Everything about the chicken screamed "you are in Hong Kong and don't you forget it!" Decent: C+/B-

My wife ordered the chicken sandwich. Now here's where context comes along. The chicken on her sandwich was the same that I got in my pasta. And she really liked it. Thinking about it, I can see how the crispy sweet glazed chicken would make a good sandwich, while being a little too Asian-y for chicken arrabiata. In her opinion, everything came together really nicely ("it had a slightly sweet bunt, but it really worked") and she gives it an A-.

I would say the food here is good. Other than the questionable choice of chicken for the pasta, there weren't really any missteps. It's a more Westernized, higher-quality Asian pasta and sandwich joint. I would definitely go back, and to tell you the truth I probably will.
