每一次經過Cupping Room的時候都已經打烊, 所以這個星期六一放工就專誠走一趙店面面積不少, 但人很多。店員找了一陣子, 才把我安排到 coffee machine 前 bar 枱的一角, 轉眼又把我轉到窗前 bar 枱。本來面向著陽光暖暖的也不錯, 不過Cupping Room 可能太吸引了, 窗外總有途人窺視進來。 每一次抬頭總會與陌生人對望, 感覺怪怪的。另一方面, 雖然店內裝修舒適, 但店主把自己的政治理念覆蓋全店, 避也避不了。無論理念如何, 我認為工作環境及餐廳 (尤其Cafe) 不應涉及政治, 令人精神非常緊張, 有違到 cafe relax 的目的。Latte 非常香濃。豆香加上奶香一下子touched the bottom of my heart, 有點感動。用了一點時間去比較平常最愛的 Barista Jam, 就咖啡而言居然分不出高下。Menu 的選擇不少。 慨然是 weekend, 當然選 weekend special: Egg Benedicts with Smoked Salmon 我很欣賞利用 sourdough & spinach 配襯 egg

 我很欣賞利用 sourdough & spinach 配襯 egg benedicts, 加上了 citrus fruit, 感覺清新, 只是 Hollandaise sauce 略稀。本身各樣味道也不錯, 可惜不知是否因為下了單大半小時才想起我的關係, 雞蛋是生的。 雖然我最愛 poached eggs, 也明白出錯機會很高, 但我寧可 poached eggs overcooked than undercooked。 因為 overcooked 是技術問題, undercooked 一眼已經可以看出, 是誠意問題。

連續兩星期吃生 egg benedicts 令人泄氣, 需要想像如果是正常 poached eggs 味道應會如何。

那杯咖啡叫人又愛又恨....
