With our brave attempt to commit all the Seven Deadly Sins at Aqua, we didn't only try all the cocktails, we also had some of the amazing sinful dishes to go with the evil spirits...

“Pride” – Amazing aromas eminated from the pretty tea pot placed before us. The fragrance of this clear soup was so unique and delicate, it made us linger and relish every drop quite carefully. (The little bowls were so pleasant to drink from, a very special experience actually.) The scallop was very tender and juicy and perfectly fresh, as was the clam. The broth had a wonderfully complex flavour without any of the ingredients being too overpowering. A perfect balance and just enough to whet your appetite for more.

“Wrath” – The Chitarra pasta was cooked to perfection was superbly flavourful, with just the right blend of seafood sweetness from the scampi and tartness from the cherry tomato. Mix the shredded chili strands into the pasta and you’ll be surprised by an incredibly wonderful and totally unexpected texture. This dish is a true champion for anyone who likes pasta or adores seafood.

“Gluttony” – Pure decadence on a slate, I really loved it. The veal was perfectly juicy, plump and pink and melted in the mouth. The decadent foie gras was accentuated by a fragrant and highly attractive sprig of blossoming lavender. The Barolo wine reduction was to die for and the selection of fine vegetables rounded off this dish. Seriously naughty and very good.

“Sloth” – If you like strawberry, you’ll love this one. The igloo-shaped dome of mousse was just perfectly light yet intensely fruity. The jelly core added a little extra tartness, which gave the mousse a nice lift. The biscuit base was surprisingly good with a waferlike lightness yet satisfying crunch; it had the perfect texture. Accompanied by fresh strawberries marinated in strawberry syrup and a generous sprinkling of praline crumbs, this is a really great dessert.

“Envy” – This is a real fun dessert, a luscious lollipop that tastes absolutely adorable! You can roll your lollipop in the condiments of ground pistaccio and praline crumbs to make it the most yummy experience. The only fault I found with this one was that it made me wanting more.
