One can naturally expect a great meal if boss takes you out for dinner! This is what happened tonight!

Boss booked a table in Gradini, a restaurant we passed by many times during lunch time yet had never stepped in.

The restaurant was very quiet when we arrived, not that there were no customers, but everyone was chatting quietly.

Servers were quite professional and made reasonable suggestions and recommendations on our order. At the end, everyone had scampi and scallop salad and red shrimp pasta; then we would share 2 Porterhouse steak and 2 pan-fried Dover Sole. It seems that the steak and the fish are both off the menu items

I guess it took quite a bit of time to prepare 11 portions of salad and have them served at the same time. So while we were waiting, the waiter gave us the bread basket and some bread sticks wrapped with 36-months ham! The bread sticks and the ham matched perfectly!

The scampi was nicely done but the scallop was a little over-cooked. Vegetable was all fresh and crispy. Definitely a nice starter for our meal!

Then everyone has a small portion of red shrimp linguine. The linguine was absolutely al dente
The red shrimp tasted sweeter then normal shrimp and the texture was close to lobster! I would say this is a must-try dish

This is the Lan-fried Dover Sole which was not my cup of tea. I am not a big fan of fish.. and this fish had rather firm flesh and was a bit dry. Can skip this item

The porterhouse steak was huge in size and was really thick. The nice brown sear made it looking really delicious!
We opted for medium rare so it came out quite bloody, but it was really moist and juicy! This is highly recommended if you hav a group of four or more

We then ordered desserts.
The first one is Gai Dann Jai served with hk milk tea flavour ice cream. This is a very modern and classy presentation of local hk food and flavour, however, the Gai Dann Jai was cold and lacked egg flavour. I would prefer to just buy an ordinary Gai Dann Jai from a street stall.
The tiramisu was really yummy! It tasted authentic and the texture was thick and creamy. Although it came in a small cup, finishing the whole thing was satisfying

I have no clue about the bill of this meal, but I did check the menu and thought that the food didn't come too cheap. But given it's premium location, excellent and professional service and the generally nice food, it is still worthwhile to come here for a good meal to pamper yourself
