It was a very busy Saturday for me and my boyfriend. Had lots of errands to run and ended up finishing up around 7PM in Shatin feeling all tired and nasty. Wanted to just grab a quick dinner then head home. Our two choices were Oliver's Super Sandwich, and Triple O's, which is right next door. Since both my Boyfriend and I have never tried Triple O's, and that we would have to wait for a table at Oliver's Super Sandwich, we agreed that we should just eat at Triple O's.Have heard many good things
Our two choices were Oliver's Super Sandwich, and Triple O's, which is right next door. Since both my Boyfriend and I have never tried Triple O's, and that we would have to wait for a table at Oliver's Super Sandwich, we agreed that we should just eat at Triple O's.
Have heard many good things about this joint from friends, and also saw that the rating on openrice isn't bad at all.
I ordered the Mushroom Burger Combo, then added $11 to switch to Poutine Fries, and my boyfriend ordered the Roast Beef Burger Combo. At $78 per combo, I found this meal to be quite disappointing.
First of all, the patty in my burger was SOOOO THIN!! Probably as thin as Mc Donald's burger patties(but let me remind you that Triple O's is charging a couple times more than what Mc D charges). The sauce contains a lot of mayo, which I did not find to my liking. I have had Triple O's Poutine Fries at their TST location before, and it came out pipping hot and super yummy. However, this time around the fries were not hot at all, and they gave very little gravy and cheese $11 extra for this? are you kidding me??
My boyfriend's regular fries, on the other hand, came out really hot he even burnt his tongue!
But that was the only good part of the meal. The roast beef in his burger was very very dry and my boyfriend said that his burger wasn't even hot!
I seriously think there are better options out there for this price....
