I was planning to have hotel buffet with my family tonight since it has been awhile and we could slowly take our time eating. We decided on eating at Palm Court Western Restaurant as the reviews seemed quite good. It was located inside Metropark Hotel Kowloon, in between of Mongkok and Mongkok East MTR. The selection of food seemed huge, from seafood, cooked food, sashimi, drinks and desserts etc.
Orange juice was sweet and smooth, with strong orange taste and abit of orange bits.
Sea urchin sashimi with salad - This was the only dish which allowed only 1 serving per person. Sea urchin was soft and buttery, melting in my mouth. Salad was crunchy and fresh as well.
Lobster soup was slightly thick in texture and it was fragrant and tasty. There were some lobster meats in it as well.
Sliced beef with black pepper sauce - Beef was tender and juicy, with strong pepper taste, making it slightly spicy. Ham was chewy too.
There are a huge varieties of food from the cooked section. Pasta was quite good, cheesy and chewy. Chicken was juicy and flavourful, hashbrown was fried till crispy and soft.
There is a long queue at the grilled corner, where it was grilled on the spot. Tiger prawns were chewy and juicy, and lamb chop was chewy and tender as well, with no after-taste.
At the ice cream corner, there is strawberry, vanilla and chocolate flavour from Movenpick brand. Strawberry was sweet and sour, with strong strawberry taste and meat inside.
After eating so much, i grabbed some fruit to digest. Watermelon and pineapple were juicy and crunchy.
