I always loved the cakes at 2/3 Dolce, but their locations were always a bit of a travel. And what is a girl to do when she wants a cake break after work?Well, joy to me! They opened a branch in Causeway Bay! A great spot for an after work cake break. Located between Gucci and other high end stores, is a sliver of a location. Well, joy to me! They opened a branch in Causeway Bay! A great spot for an after work cake break. Located between Gucci and other high end stores, is a sliver of a location. There's a cake and gelato counter for take away. If you choose to sit, there's a 10% service charge. They do have an afternoon tea set of a cake and pot of tea for $115. But it was way too hot for a pot of tea. As coffee selections are more limited than their Wanchai and Kowloon Tong branch, I had nothing to choose but a bottle of Italian San Pelligreno sparkling fruit water where they charge you $36. It appears there is no barista at this branch. That's probably why they have the words "Te" for, yes, tea.

I chose a pear tart as I love any desserts with pears in it. This was a lovely light dessert. The pears were poached in a light syrup but it wasn't too sweet. It was wrapped in a light cream with a touch of vanilla. And the crust was soft and melted in my mouth. Finally a chef who believes in butter as majority of places, they rarely use butter so it's stone hard.

Even with the lack of coffee selections, I'll still return as I have yet to be disappointed by their cakes.
