We had an early taste experience (round 11 am) for this small eatery specialized in Wonton Soup and located at the Tai Po Jade Plaza Shopping Centre.The service is quick with reasonable clean tables, utensils and chairs. The service is quick with reasonable clean tables, utensils and chairs. We ordered both the Wonton Soup with dried fish skin. First impressions are the portion size; 4 Wontons, enough broth, noodles and scallions. However the taste is far from sublime or even good. The Wontons are too thick as shown on the enlarged picture while providing enough shrimps as seen in this photo.
The broth is bland and the Wontons are not refined as one could expect with the subtle tones of fresh shrimp and ginger. An side dish of dried fish skin was without memorable taste.
Wonton Soup is also famous for its additional condiments, by providing a signature chilli sauce. However this one is just standard.
The prices are reasonable and the quick delivery of the ordered food certainly a plus. Potential to develop in an excellent and much sought after eatery however the main event , the Wonton Soup, is fit for redesigning. Just close in bringing that subtle famous South Chinese dish from being excellent.
