I had my worst dinning experience at this japanese restaurant last night celebrating my birthday! This place is a TOTAL RIP OFF! All my life i have been dinning at all kinds of japanese restaurants worldwide including the world's well known ones, but this one, was the WORST among all and charged us a ridiculous high price for LOW QUALITY of food! After we each ate 5 pieces of sashimi, the $1,100 lobster came. Since we already saw how ridiculous the restaurant can be from seeing the first course, we had immediately lower our expectation of the lobster. However, when it arrived, we dropped our jaw right away because it was so tiny that we finished it with 3 bites. After finishing the lobster, we were thinking, okay , we were still so hungry so we decided to order some fried rice just to fill our stomach and thinking it fried rice shouldnt go wrong. However we were so wrong, we order $280 fried rice and it only came in 1 single tiny bowl, after sharing the bowl of rice we were still so hungry, so we order another bowl of noodle and this time we ordered the cheapest one cus we had lost all our feelings.....
So as a result, we spend $3100 on my birthday dinner and leaving the restaurant with anger, tension and HUNGRY.
Never in my life i had spent so much money on such LOW quality and quantity of food. With this amount of money, I would rather go to Nobu, inakigu at four seasons, 和三未, sushi Ku, sushi Saikou and even at the most prestigious japanese restaurant-懷石料理 or the japanese restaurant up at ICC top floor.
In my philosophy, I don't mind spending money on good quality of food, but i definitely disagree with restaurants for which their goal is to rip people off. In fact I had been to all the high-end japanese restaurants stated above, and spent over at least 2 thousands at each for 2 people, though not all of them met my high standard, but none had given me us a horrible experience as what this 有馬restaurant did.
So let me repeat again, if you wanna get ridiculously ripped off and leaving the restaurant hungry, you go to this restaurant, otherwise please don't even try. Oh i point I forgot to mention, We went on a weekend at 8pm, and there were only 3 tables including us, I did not see any new customers came in except these 3 tables. Now I understand why....

DO not go to this restaurant, even though if you have money to waste , don't waste it here, cus you will walk out this restaurant with empty stomach, and it doesn't even provide good quality AND quantity of food given the ridiculous prices they charge you. Rather go to other high-end japanese restaurants in HK.
This is my first review i wrote on Openrice and all my life I have been very lazy writing reviews, but this time i knew i HAD to do something cus the restaurant is outrageously ridiculous for what they charge and provide for customers.
If you listen to me, you will not ruin your day.... with me, it had ruined my special birthday.
