We just visited this cafe today as we love bunnies but I am seriously disappointed. The rabbits were in cages and everything was very restricted. The owner chose which two rabbits to bring out at a time which, was reasonable if there were a lot of people however, the whole cafe ONLY had 2 people there: myself and my guest. When we asked if we could see “ Bread” the bunny, the owner said he already came out......but we are here to see rabbits right?? We also just arrived in there too. How awkward
We felt ignored and insignificant as guests. At least introduce the rabbits or something... we were the only two people and the whole room was silent and tense. The two gentlemen servers (both of which one whom was the owner himself) there even ate their lunch in the middle of the room ignoring us... how awkward and confusing that was to experience.
Food: They had a $50 buy in per person and so we each ordered a drink and a cheesecake dessert to share as it was 3pm and we weren’t hungry but that was enough to tell about the cafes food quality.
The drinks were diluted and flavourless and the cheesecake was terrible store bought quality. It’s true you don’t go to these places for the food however, that was really bad. Not as bad as the service and pet experience though.
The washroom was also quite filthy and disgusting... there was bunny hay piles on the ground.
The rabbit petting experience is exactly like at the pet store: see with your eyes, touch from the cages and occasionally you can touch the rabbits out from their cages.
As quoted, this is the famous first rabbit cafe in Hong Kong... WOW what a huge disappointment.
