There is two things about Sichuan House that is different from a standard Szechuan restaurant....1) they have skewers on the menu; 2) if you order the signature “water boil fish” you can add up to 4 other ingredients...such as luncheon meat, enoki mushrooms or lotus roots, just to name a few. They also have a spicy mangrove snail starter which tasted fabulous. They also have a spicy mangrove snail starter which tasted fabulous. My friends drank beer while I settled for the tea (which is likely a house blend but looked a bit like 8-treasures tea) which was frangrant and perfect for washing down the spicy oil. Will be back. And will definitely try the skewers next.
