This is a good place for you to relax while having a great time with friends and family. The very first Gyu Shige was established in 1988 at Tokyo, Japan. So this is their Hong Kong version store! (Another one is located in Tsuen Wan). The reason why I like this shop is that it focuses on drawing out the natural flavor of the meat, many cuts of the beef do not come marinated or pre-seasoned, we can try the original flavour of the beef.
We ordered 2 sets: short plate, prime Kaurbi and beef tongue set ($118) and LA-cut short ribs set ($142). LA short ribs was cut thinly (about 1/4 inch thick) across the bones, so it is easier to marinate and quicker to cook on a BBQ grill. If you are person who prefer deep beefy flavour and licking each bone pieces, LA-cut short ribs are good for you. The short plate one provides more variety of choices, the quality of beef was worthy given the reasonable price.
