I've visited Okapi 4-5 times, and it has become one of my regular lunch joints when I'm in the neighborhood. It is a well decorated restaurant with a friendly staff. The lunch menu is a terrific bargain, with sets starting at around $48 and including soup, entree, and coffee. Most of the dishes I've tried were well prepared and tasty. I particularly liked the French chicken (around $78 or so for lunch), and the Italian-style pasta dishes are also pretty decent. I didn't like the curries, w
My biggest complaint about Okapi is that the food is inconsistent. The first time I tried the lobster bisque, it was sublime, perhaps the finest I've had. I returned a few days later and ordered it again, but the flavor was off. I had a similar experience with the chicken pesto pasta on the lunch menu. My second biggest complaint is the music. One should not have to listen to Cindi Lauper in such dignified surroundings! Despite this, I enjoy eating here a lot and plan to return often.
