Came here with boyfriend to have a cake break on his birthday. Because hey ... birthdays always must have cake!Cafe & Meal Muji not only serves hot meals but this one has a bakery where they also serve cake and bread. They offer cake set which has a coffee or tea with a piece of cake for $68 with no 10% service charge.This is the soybean roll cake. Very soft and moist. It wasn't sweet at all and felt .. healthy. This is the soybean roll cake. Very soft and moist. It wasn't sweet at all and felt .. healthy. There was a rich taste of soymilk and pieces of soft sweet soybeans.
We also shared a matcha cheesecake. This was rich and creamy. The taste of matcha was intense with the bitterness of matcha. It also wasn't a sweet dessert. I think boyfriend was disappointed from this lack of sugar on his birthday.
The cakes were great. The coffee was terrible. It tasted like brown water. I may switch to tea next time if I do another cake.
