I had been craving crepes and had wanted to visit this place for lunch for quite some time, as I had visited the branch at Causeway Bay before where I had quite a nice experience. I had been craving crepes and had wanted to visit this place for lunch for quite some time, as I had visited the branch at Causeway Bay before where I had quite a nice experience. Finally decided to give this Sheung Wan branch a visit despite the pretty far location from my office.

No reservation was allowed for lunch so I arrived earlier to try to get a table first for my friends. But I wasn't allowed to be seated until the whole group arrived...

They offered set lunch at 3 different prices for 1 drink + 1 galette + 1 crepe depending on your choice of galette. You could top up for some special drinks or ice-cream for crepe at your choice. Given the cold weather, I ordered hot lemon water for my drink among other choices like fresh lemonade, soft drink, coffee/tea. Our drinks arrived shortly after our orders.

I found the galette not hot enough. Not sure whether it was because of the cold weather or because they had waited for all our dishes to be ready before serving us (we were a group of 5). The galette itself was ok but it didn't smell particularly good. The ingredients smelt pretty good though. The amount of cheese was about right and there was enough dressing/oil so that the whole thing was juicy enough.

Again I found the crepe not hot enough. But it tasted good with the salted butter caramel and it was not overly sweet. The salted butter caramel was just enough.

I got to try one of my friend's order. I think it tasted equally well with Nutella compared with salted butter caramel! I had actually been struggling between salted butter caramel/Nutella! My tongue didn't feel particularly fatty/sweet after eating.

Overall, it was quite a good bargain to get 1 galette, 1 crepe and 1 drink at a min price of $118 without service charge for a lunch near Central, although the food itself was not outstanding or very filling (I felt hungry very soon in the afternoon). And there didn't seem to be any queue during lunch hour even if you couldn't reserve a table in advance.
