Braised beef shank in onino tomato sauce

Beef shank contains little fat, and is ideal for healthy eaters. This dish is great eaten hot or cold, either as a snack item or a dish.
Ingredient and Portion
beef shank 1Kg
tomatoes 6pcs
onion 1pc
minced shallots 1/2tbsp
Seasoning
tomato paste 4tbsp
light soya sauce 1tsp
oyster sauce 1tsp
sugar 2tbsp
salt 1/4 tsp
water
Method
Rinse beef shank under clean water. Boil it in hot water for 3 mins and take out.
Cut onion into shreds, and tomatoes into 6-8 wedges each.
Heat oil,fry shallots and onions,then add in tomatoes and let cook for a while.
Add in seasonings and a little bit of water and bring to the boil. Place beef shank in the sauce, set to low heat and let beef shank cook until tender and sauce thickens, turning over the beef shank occasionally.
When ready, slcie beek shank into think slices and pour sauce over the slices.
