Rinse beef shank under clean water. Boil it in hot water for 3 mins and take out.
Cut onion into shreds, and tomatoes into 6-8 wedges each.
Heat oil,fry shallots and onions,then add in tomatoes and let cook for a while.
Add in seasonings and a little bit of water and bring to the boil. Place beef shank in the sauce, set to low heat and let beef shank cook until tender and sauce thickens, turning over the beef shank occasionally.
When ready, slcie beek shank into think slices and pour sauce over the slices.
