This dressing is sure to make a perfect salad if fresh crisp lettuce are used.
Ingredient and Portion
Romaine lettuce 2stalks
parmesan cheese some
Croutons for serving
Seasoning
For dressing:
egg yolk 1/2pc
lemon juice 3tsp
black pepper some
mustard powder 1/2tsp
tabasco 1/2tsp
olive oil 3tbsp
crushed garlic 1clove
Method
Combine ingredients for dressing using and egg beater. Make sure they are combined well. Place in refridgerator for 15-30 mins.
Wash lettuce, dry thoroughly, and cut into desired length. Mix well with dressing, and serve with croutons and parmesan cheese.
Tips
Substitute egg yolk with mayonaise if desired.
For added flavour and variety, serve salad with smoked salmon or achovies.
Home made croutons can be made easily.
Combine some butter or margarine with minced garlic, spread on french bread or sandwhich bread. Cut in dices and toast in oven or fry in olive oil in pan until browned.
