Rinse beef under clean water. If using beef brisket, cut into small pieces. If using shank,do not cut. Boil in hot water briefly and take out.
Cut carrots,potatoes into large cubes. Shred cabbage,onion and cut tomatoes into wedges.
Bring chicken stock to the boil,put in beef and carrots and boil for an hour. then put in the rest of ingredients and boil until soft. Put seasonings and serve.
