Not only is this soup easy to make, it can be a meal by itself!
Ingredient and Portion
Beef brisket or beef tendon 1KG
carrots 1/2Kg
cabbage 1/2pc
potato 2pcs
tomatoes 4pcs
onion 1/2 piece
chicken stock 1can
Seasoning
sugar 2tsp
salt and light soya sauce to taste
Method
Rinse beef under clean water. If using beef brisket, cut into small pieces. If using shank,do not cut. Boil in hot water briefly and take out.
Cut carrots,potatoes into large cubes. Shred cabbage,onion and cut tomatoes into wedges.
Bring chicken stock to the boil,put in beef and carrots and boil for an hour. then put in the rest of ingredients and boil until soft. Put seasonings and serve.
Tips
If using beef brisket, soup comes out more oily.
Beef shank would be a healthier and less greasy option for the health conscious.
