Filling :
1. Chop Date meat. Mix it with sugar. Add 1/3 cup of water. Simmer over light heat until mashed. Remove from heat when dry.
Biscuit:
1. Blend butter and sugar until yellow. Add egg and vanilla essence and blend well.
2. Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder. Add butter mixture and knead well to dough. Divide dough into halves. Roll each halves into a 11" x 7" Rectangle. Spread Date filling on the doughs. Roll the doughs from long side to form long strips. Wrap them with wax paper and place in refrigerator for 2 hours.
3. Take the doughs from refigerator. Slice the doughs into 1/4" thick wheel-shaped doughs. Preheat oven to 350 degree Fahrenheit (Gas No. 3), bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
