翠苑 sells old-fashion/traditional desserts. I tend to prefer western-style cakes or new fushion HK-style desserts. But after a simple dinner, it always is nice to have something sweet (whether my favourite type or not). Since it was so cold outside, therefore, I don't dare to order cold desserts. I must say, the combination of 合桃糊 and 燉奶 was just perfect! They were able to design the bowl with the two separated, so each spoonful, you can get a taste of each. Of course this dessert is not designed for people on diet, but it doesn't hurt to have once in awhile. They will not be using skim milk to make such yummy dessert. But then, you do feel healthy after eating it (with all the calcium and 合桃). It is not too sweet, and serve in hot-style ..... very good choice for winter time. For $15, in such amazing combination, what more can you ask for!?! I highly recommend this!
