This used to be a favorite restaurant of mine. When I first started going, in 2009, the quality of the food was excellent. Over the past year, their cost-cutting has taken a heavy toll. The beef tenderloin has been replaced by an inferior cut of beef that is often chewy; chicken thigh meat has become mystery chicken bits of meat/fat/skin; prawns have shrunk in size and almost never fresh. This used to be a favorite restaurant of mine. When I first started going, in 2009, the quality of the food was excellent. Over the past year, their cost-cutting has taken a heavy toll. The beef tenderloin has been replaced by an inferior cut of beef that is often chewy; chicken thigh meat has become mystery chicken bits of meat/fat/skin; prawns have shrunk in size and almost never fresh.

I happened to be in the area today, and for old times' sake decided to give it another try. I ordered the lemongrass pork chop. In the past, this dish used to be presented as a whole pork chop sliced into strips; the shape of the pork chop remained intact and you could tell it was one individual chop. Today, howerever, the dish came in the form of a little mound of strips of dried-out pork. The strips (believe me, I tried) could not be put back together into one chop, which told me that these were leftover strips of pork chop which had been reheated, leaving them dry and unpalatable.

I took one bite and informed the waitress that the dish was not acceptable. She was very nice in removing the plate, but when the bill came, I found that the pork chop I had sent back remained on the bill. I confirmed that it was not an oversight on their part. I had resisted writing off this restaurant for too long; I have finally done so today. How insulting that they think they can serve leftovers and get away with it (which they did, since I paid the bill in full without further protest).

尋日入左跑馬地溫書, 之後就randomly pick左呢間rest dinner~我地兩個人叫左:1) 小食拼盤 $1382) 炒豬頸肉 $983) 牛肉... 撈'mon' $724) spicy chicken wings (~$78)先講1), 佢有墨魚餅 x 2 (我本人略嫌彈牙過頭...); 串燒 x 3 (好得, d肉好滑, 好味!!); 粉皮 x 4 (好食!! 個粉皮夠薄, 又滑, 就算放在table上一段時間都唔會話又dry又硬^^)2) 好野味~ 夠spicy~ 3) 呢樣都好味ar!! d牛肉唔un又香~4) 我欣賞佢將d 雞中亦一開二, 咁樣易食好多, 唔洗lun骨咁無儀態環境: 暗暗又, 人又唔多, 都幾靜同幾有情調service: 雖然有時要提佢加水, 不過都好polite ar!! to conclude, 我同bf都'讚好, 雖然viet food來說佢唔平, 但會想再來呢~

先講1), 佢有墨魚餅 x 2 (我本人略嫌彈牙過頭...); 串燒 x 3 (好得, d肉好滑, 好味!!); 粉皮 x 4 (好食!! 個粉皮夠薄, 又滑, 就算放在table上一段時間都唔會話又dry又硬^^)
2) 好野味~ 夠spicy~
3) 呢樣都好味ar!! d牛肉唔un又香~
4) 我欣賞佢將d 雞中亦一開二, 咁樣易食好多, 唔洗lun骨咁無儀態


環境: 暗暗又, 人又唔多, 都幾靜同幾有情調

service: 雖然有時要提佢加水, 不過都好polite ar!!

to conclude, 我同bf都'讚好, 雖然viet food來說佢唔平, 但會想再來呢~

maybe they were trying to create a romantic, chill-out atmosphere, but personally it was a little dim for me.We ordered a prawn paper roll (instead of the soft shell crab, and the staff were accomodating in our request), a beef and basil soup, a green curry, and a chicken soup vermicelli (again, they were willing to change it from the original pho). We ordered a prawn paper roll (instead of the soft shell crab, and the staff were accomodating in our request), a beef and basil soup, a green curry, and a chicken soup vermicelli (again, they were willing to change it from the original pho). The food were all well proportioned and flavourful without being too strong, though the prawn was deep fried and a little too oily, making the rice paper soggy. The ingredients used were fresh, and they used chicken slices instead of frozen chicken chunks.

The hot longan drink was nice and wasn't too sweet. Water was refilled without too much prompting. For some reason they put 5 pairs of chopsticks on the table for the 2 of us, which could either be an excessive need for cleaniness and using communal chopsticks, or they mislaid the chopsticks from another table when cleaning up/setting the table.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The food wasn't cheap, but this is happy valley and this is marketed as a nice restaurant rather than the cheap and cheerful joints around the corner type.

前晚4個人去食, 真係唔錯叫左個春卷, 雜菌+雜菜, 青咖哩雞, 牛柳粒, 特色乳豬讚!春卷好香口, 配生菜食 又爽又脆雜菌+雜菜 唔錯青咖哩雞 送飯最佳選擇牛柳粒 口感幾好特色脆皮乳豬 好食仲有, 環境幾好, 唔係太光, 好舒服

餐廳裝修算有法國情調. 招呼亦ok. 見有不少熟客.
可以再訪,有興趣一試越南燒乳豬,看看跟廣東/葡式燒法有何不同.
埋單過後,為食貓同Miffy不約而同對門口及餐桌擺放有相同意見,可見二人已被網上餐廳城病毒入侵,身中劇毒...

是晚多謝Miffy作東 - $388.

been there more than 10 times in the past 6 months! it's my favourite restaurant in happy valley! yes it's not cheap, but we should not compare this restaurant to other vietnamese restaurants in HK. all the dishes are goooooooooooood!!

在門外經過幾次,終於跑去嚐嚐看,餐廳的氣氛不錯,問了侍應有什麼好介紹,他推薦的我們都較為少食,最後叫了蝦餅, 庶蝦,咖哩牛腩煲,燒雞,炒棷菜和牛河,整體而言,享受了一頓美味的晚餐,牛河是ichiban,真的好好味.....不過是有點貴,不可以常常光顧啦......

好耐好耐無寫過食評喇!~ 今晚心情好, 即刻寫番篇先~呢間店經過好多次, 但次次都係去隔離的"正斗"食lunch~第一次幫襯呢間餐廳, 事前上OPEN RICE睇comment, 竟然無人寫過.... 最終都抱住一試無妨的心態去試食... 竟然有意外驚喜~1) 金不換軟殼蟹: 好好味呀!!!~~ 炸得好靚, 唔會過淋, 而且D蟹仲有好多羔添!~ 勁YUMMY~ 面頭果D炸粉絲都香脆唔油~ 正~2) 帶子袖子沙律: 好味!~ 加左帶子都幾夾~3) 炸春卷: 無咩驚喜, 味道OK~ 伴上的菜都好新鮮!4) 生牛肉河: 幾好味喎~ 湯都可以飲埋~5) 紅咖哩蝦: 呢個好正!!~ 咖哩好CREAMY, 入口唔覺辣, 但香, 食多兩淡D辣味先慢慢湧出黎~ D蝦夠大隻, 食得出好新鮮~ 用伴隨的法飽食, 正!6) 三色冰, 龍眼冰: 唔錯!----> 共約$550 元~2個大人+1個4歲囡囡, 食到好飽好滿足~抬上面有一兜糖果, 令到囡囡一入去就開心到離開.. 5) 紅咖哩蝦: 呢個好正!!~ 咖哩好CREAMY, 入口唔覺辣, 但香, 食多兩淡D辣味先慢慢湧出黎~ D蝦夠大隻, 食得出好新鮮~ 用伴隨的法飽食, 正!

6) 三色冰, 龍眼冰: 唔錯!

抬上面有一兜糖果, 令到囡囡一入去就開心到離開..
