I've just had my worst dining experience at Golden Thai Prince Thai Food Restaurant & BBQ Restaurant. Both the food and services are below standard. When my family and I walked into the restaurant at 6:30pm, the waiter asked if it's OK to hand back the table at 8:30pm. We said it should be OK. We ordered ten dishes, including Tom Yum soup, red curry seafood, two types of Thai salad, Satay beef/pork/chicken/squid/pork neck, green bean thread with prawns, salted fish stir-fried with Chinese broccoli

When my family and I walked into the restaurant at 6:30pm, the waiter asked if it's OK to hand back the table at 8:30pm. We said it should be OK. We ordered ten dishes, including Tom Yum soup, red curry seafood, two types of Thai salad, Satay beef/pork/chicken/squid/pork neck, green bean thread with prawns, salted fish stir-fried with Chinese broccoli, stir fried vegetables with shrimp paste, fried rice with pineapple, and coconut milk with sago dessert.
The food was extremely disappointing. The satay squid was half-cooked and we had to request them to cook it again. The satay was very tough and dry, too chewy to eat and the dipping sauce was not tasty. There was too much coconut milk in both the red curry and Tom Yum Soup. The green bean thread with prawns was too salty. The prawn were not crispy, indicating that the ingredients were not fresh.
The texture of the fried rice was like glutinuous rice (sticky rice), too soft and wet.
The environment is not very comfortable.
The seating is too crowded and there are no proper chairs. There are only round stools so people cannot really enjoy their meal.
Not only the food and the environment were bad, the service was even worse. When we were first seated at a nine people table, the waiter asked how many people would be dining there and we answered seven. She took away three dining sets. When we told her that there weren't enough dining sets, she didn't apologise and looked annoyed. She only left us an extra plate and chopsticks and we had to ask the waiter again to bring us an extra bowl.
After about an hour when we were half full and talking amongst us, different waiters kept wanting to clear the table, in a way that they wanted to kick us out. It was rather rude to do so because we were still enjoying our dessert.
At 8pm, we asked to have the bill. The waiter named "Yat" came to the table with the bill. My sister handed her a credit card. She picked it up and inspected it and then asked abruptedly what type of card was it. My sister answered platinum visa card. She then rudely said that they don't accept credit card. If they don't accept credit card regardless, she should explain to us when we handed her the credit card and apologise for our inconvenience. She shouldn't have to verify the type of credit card because it's really none of her business. It was a big issue that we had to pay in cash but her poor attitude and manner were unacceptable.
I would strongly NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone because of their bad food and poor customer service. I'm sure anyone who pays for their meal deserve better food and service.
