The dinner is so expensive and this is unbelieveable. For that price I can go for the real Kenjo place rather than here. Dinner for 2 and we each had around 8 pieces of sashimi/sushi i (nothing really expensive except uni which we only ordered one piece!) plus a bottle of sake and the bill came to $3800 for the bill!!

Came to this place based on a friend's recommendation and the fact that it was marketed as Kenjo's spin off on HK island. My friend and I ordered omakase because we were too lazy to pick and choose. We have been to quite a few sushi places and we do have our favorites but figure we should give this place a try. My friend and I ordered omakase because we were too lazy to pick and choose. We have been to quite a few sushi places and we do have our favorites but figure we should give this place a try.

The quality of food is pretty good but we didn't have anything too impressive as the fish was just normal stuff like hamachi, toro and sole, etc. When we got the bill, we decided that this is not a place for second visit as they charged us for the appetizer, hot food (which we did not order and were not too enthus about it) and even the honeydew at the end!!!! We have been to sushi places with real Japanese chef and we never got charged for appetizer, hot food or dessert!!!

Moreover, the chef doesn't seem to care about hygiene as I was him touching a customer's i-phone and then immediately handled the fish without washing his hands.... I mean, after all we're talking about RAW food here and I thought that was quite gross...

The service is just so so as they didn't even bother changing your plates when you switch between sashimi to sushi which is again something I have not experienced before! I would not recommend this place to my friends and I think this place is overpriced and not worth the visit. There are many friendlier places around the area and they are much better value for money.

Such a proximity to my home and have quality Japanese cuisine inherited fr Kenjo!Quite a fully booked restaurant and we sat by the sushi bar area that we always like. I had toro and tuna rice with cold soba; my dear had sushi set of 8. First came the steamed egg. Quite a fully booked restaurant and we sat by the sushi bar area that we always like.

I had toro and tuna rice with cold soba; my dear had sushi set of 8.

First came the steamed egg. Served hot and like having egg soup as it melted in ur mouth immediately, not bad.

My main came - I quite liked the cold soba. The texture was chewy and the sauce was good. It was well-served for Spring/Summer while you lost your appetite. The rice also came. Slices of tuna and toro on top with seaweed on rice, very nice. I also liked the rice, the vinegar was just together, plus the seaweed was very good indeed! Going back to the essence: toro and tuna. The toro was nice, yet the tuna was even better. The sashimi was of course fresh and yummy. I was satisfied.

My dear's set was also not bad. I had the tuna roll. quite good. Yet we expected the sushi came immediately once the chef completed making, like Kenjo *luckily that we always sat in front of Kenjo and he served one by one* , even his disciple was very very quick in completing the whole set. It was claimed that the sushi was nice, yet the sashimi got spare space to improve. As we always left Kenjo to decide the seasonal sashimi and really wow us...

But overall speaking, it was also good quality. Mind you the price was slightly cheaper here. For sure, we looked forward to going again and expected improvement.

Last came the sesame ice cream ... sure it was good. Hopefully to have lemon ice cream soon?

Besides, both the chef and waitresses serve us well.

友人生日,諗住食好D,所以他book了這所中上的日本料理...收到友人的通知,即上openrice check check d comments, 嘩, 都幾擔心, d comments咁差一行多人,都算是大客啩....我們亦非很麻煩的客人,menu都不看,用信得過的態度,giving them a budget ($600 per head) to prepare our dinner. 一行多人,都算是大客啩....我們亦非很麻煩的客人,menu都不看,用信得過的態度,giving them a budget ($600 per head) to prepare our dinner. Well, I believe $600 was not really very bad, BUT...

我們得到的只有:
- 枝豆(小量)
- 淮山(小量, 小到我想每人分不到一條
)
- 每人5片魚生 (普通tuna, 帶子, nothing really expenisve could recall)
- 海膽, Tora sushi 各一件
- sushi roll (每人分到一小件)
- 2條燒Tuna collar 12分食
.....
為了填飽我哋個肚,仲分到每人'白飯'半碗(完全不明白....)

又因為我們仍然complain肚餓,反映咗好耐好多次之後....個老闆可能怕煩,惟有好似好大方咁話'送炸豬扒'+noodles比我們....終於,等等等,等了大半個小時, 豬扒終於都到了,不過noodles,可能要再等多大半個小時....餐飯由八點鐘開始食到十一點半都未完,可以想像出菜有多'慢',終於我們都放棄咗個'送的noodles'...

每人乘惠$900,得到的食物,service同質量,完全不能接受

可能食物是不錯的,但服務態度如此,對客人如此,不去也罷

Having read a lot of good reviews on this new supposedly high end sushi restaurant, we finally managed to try it out tonight.

We ordered the 800 per head omakase, which isnt expensive but isnt cheap either. I always tend to order this value of omakase at new sushi restaurants to try out how good they are.

The meal included a small selection of sashimi, one cooked fish dish, small selection of sushi, cooked salmon liver and finally a bowl of noodles.

First off, the sashimi. We werent given a lot, and definitely nothing very expensive either. The seafood was definitely fresh. We were given only 2 cuts of fish, the rest were shrimp, scallop and some shellfish. I can't particularly comment on the chef's fish cutting skills, as there were only 2 cuts of fish.

Next up was the cooked fish dish. This was lumps of salmon (?) and whatever dark fish meat cooked in some sort of soya sauce. This dish was definitely quite oily and fishy - I would've imagined the fish served in this dish was of relatively poor quality. This dish was close to nasty in taste and smell.

Next we had the sushi. Finally got a piece of chu-toro. Very thinly sliced and on a piece of rice that wasnt very well packed. In fact, the rice fell apart when I picked it up with my chopsticks.

I can't actually remember what other sushi I had, they were ok but nothing impressive.

This place is run as a business. Congratulations to the investors and shareholders of this restaurant. The chefs here ensure that the margin is very high. Unfortunately, I am a customer and not an investor here. I would rather go to one of the other Japanese-chefed sushi restaurants where they take pride in their food rather than how much $ they are adding to their bottom line everyday. I truly feel that I have been ripped off here

Finally. a word about the organisation and cleanliness of the place. It was pretty cluttered inside the sushi bar area, with used plates lying around. The chefs often used the chopping boards as 'tables' for when they need to write down the orders. The whole sushi bar was a bit of a mess - another disappointing surprise for me.

It is probably unfortunate that the last sushi restaurant I went to was Kyubei in Tokyo. However, I am of course, not comparing this place to Kyubei. I am just comparing it to any other $800 omakase sushi place in HK. This restaurant is definitely below par. They should've charged $500 instead, for both the relatively cheap ingredients as well as the not up to scratch sushi bar maintenance.

I will not be going back to this place and will not be recommending any of my friends to try it out.

Very disappointed and won't be going back any time soon. What a rip off!

十月二十六日在香港走高檔路線的壽司店,午市和晚午的質素也會有一段距離,因為早前食完飯路經才發此店,得知這店內的師傅由見城出來的,進入店肉看到師傅,一看就記得在見城綿登徑舊店見過.在壽司吧位置,左看右看那本餐牌,除了八件自選,一客小卷,現在多了十件自選和一客小卷,索價一百九十元,不便宜,都最後想不到吃什麼,還是壽司吧/選了拖羅,赤身,甜蝦,海膽,鰹,池魚,玉子,BB吞拿,しめさば,穴子以及干飄小卷.說起握壽司的技巧,這握得略為鬆散,控制水份不好,令人飯粒濕過頭,使其中甜蝦飯粒貼著海膽紫菜,是不是因為客人多了,變到工作速度加快,把魚切得有點馬虎,變成魚包不過飯的情況.魚的新鮮度就沒有什麼問題,此終夜上質素和午市係差了一個層次.不過鰹魚這品很難維持新鮮.容易變得腥,其實可以從肉看到其新鮮度.干飄小卷令人摸不出頭腦,為什麼最後的一件會如斯難看,飯差一點路出來,對於我來說不合格的.茶碗蒸就蛋香不重,食落未至於水汪汪,可以做得更好的.服務就值一得講,做得夠細心專業,最後簡單食完雪糕,結帳二百零九元,不便宜,也表現未能達到合格水準,好像食了未滿師的壽司.有更詳細和相片http://cky20080.

大家都叫了「特上壽司定食」($190), 有自選的 10 件手握壽司及 6 件細卷, 跟蒸蛋, 味噌湯及雪糕/ 咖啡:

蒸蛋 配料有雞肉, 銀杏, 鳴門卷, 冬菇及不知名香葉, 面頭勁多氣泡, 有點樣衰
不過蛋都夠滑溜, 湯底清得來鮮, 係幾好食的.

10 件壽司有海膽軍艦, 三文魚籽軍艦, 甜蝦, 紅鯛 (?), 油甘魚, 池魚, 穴子, 玉子, maguro 及中 toro, 6 件小卷揀了 maguro 卷... 壽司飯握得緊緻, 食落黏韌, 醋味溫和, 內裡的新鮮 wasabi 就清一色落得少, 個別有幾件要自行再「捽」呢. 最喜歡的仍然係三文魚籽, 帶點酒味, 鮮甜得離譜
甜蝦都好食, 晶瑩剔透, 鮮甜味黐住舌頭久久不散

味噌湯就係大路的味道, 唔濃, 味道清甜, 都不錯.

連芝麻雪糕 (亦可選綠茶味) 都係驚喜 -- 好香, 芝麻味極濃郁, 仲食到「嚡烚烚」的黑芝麻 grains, 哈哈.

小店地方唔大, 但超級多客人, 又因為咁多客人, 得兩個 waitress 照顧全場明顯唔夠, 不過佢哋極好禮貌又 helpful, 服務值得一讚.

各方面同見城新店近乎倒模, 連加一每人 $209, 值得試試.

When i first walk in i was surprised to meet the chefs who used to work in Kenjo, we had a little chat and they said they work on their own now. Overall the food are really impressive, i ve ordered the 10 selections of sushi set price $190 (it's very value for money IMO).The service still need to sharpen it out specially it was quite crowded that afternoon.....the waitress are abit dull (hope they will improve the speed on my X visit).Will come again taste alternative set lunch.

上星期天, 原本想去吃在大坑的日式Curry Resturant.見到有一間新開的日本料理. (外面放了很多花藍, 應是新開的)外觀簡潔, 內部裝修都是簡潔及和風. 內有10多個枱位及10多個Sushi bar. 3個師傳在做sushi.我點了一客自選 Sushi , 牛肉Udon 及Pork Cullet.整體食物有水準及好味Sushi 新鮮 !!!!個猪排 (佢話係鹿兒島猪排) 好好味. 正 改善: 可能新開, 服務員有一點亂.
