The first time I ate Falafel Kebab was in Istanbul (name as Falafel Roll in Istanbul) and was wonderful. Therefore, I will get it wherever provided. In Central, many restaurants and cafes are expensive because of high rent. So, the taste and quality of food may not be in proportional to the high price. It was not easy to find a place for tasty food with reasonable price in Central.BA BU MENU situated at alley in Central providing Middle East cuisine and there is falafel kebab. There are only about six alfresco high seats available without air-conditioning. Of course, there is Ebeneezers nearby which also providing the same cuisine but is more expensive because, at least, dinners can sit at a more comfortable environment. As it is good time to sit at alfresco place in cool weather, I visit BA BU MENU , hoping a place with price and quality in proper proportional can be found.Once I ordered falafel kebab ($40), the only one cooker prepared it immediately. The only one thing which does not appropriate is the pre-cutted vegetable putting inside a plastic bag instead of a food container. My dinner came after a short time. There were about 3 pieces of deep-fried buttom- shaped mashed broad beans and chickpeas with minced lettuce, onion, sliced tomato and sauce inside which was full of lovely flavour with subtle spicy. In the past, I would say this ranked the second in terms of taste. However, after recently visited Istanbul, I will say that BA BU MENU ranked the first only because it was less spicy than Istanbul. I recommended this falafel kebab especially for vegetarians.I discovered that the tissue provided has the printing of Ebeneezer’s which gave me the impression that they are sister eateries but this BA BU MENU was cheaper.

I am not fond of Kebabs in Hong Kong because they are different to the ones served in UK.Here, they are wrapped in a roll with a foil wrapper but the ones in UK are open pita breads with the meats inside and lots of finely chopped cabbages, lemon sauce and chili sauce.I tried this place because they had LIVER KEBAB which could be the only place in Hong Kong that serves liver a Turkish style kebab shop. They had the option to choose pocket Pita bread for an extra $5, but stupidly I should have trusted my instinct that it would be served rolled up.Anyway, it was too late or I would have ordered the Meat Lovers version which is just stir fried liver with salad or rice.★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★Liver Kebab:There was so much chicken liver in the kebab which was good, but most of it was raw which was such a waste and a health risk. ★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★◎ⓢⓤⓟⓔⓡⓢⓤⓟⓔⓡⓖⓘⓡⓛ◎Price: $65Service: could be better, the male staff was okService charge: noYummy factor: the liver was a bit rawNapkins provided: yesEnglish Menu: Yes◎ⓢⓤⓟⓔⓡⓢⓤⓟⓔⓡⓖⓘⓡⓛ◎

Okay, so me and my friend had intentionally planned to go to the Kebab place next store, but we got lured to try Babu instead. Not only was it newer, their sanitary condition and staff were also more welcoming. Environment & Hygiene:The only seats available were the ones down the alley on an uneven ground, so it took some effort to sit properly. Sitting there meant that we got to look into the kitchen and see how our food was put together. I watched the maker slice off the very juicy chicken for my order. Hygiene in the kitchen was okay, but the tables were neglected as it was hard to find a clean spot. Taste & Value:My friend and I shared this Chicken Kebab Roll ($50). I could taste that the ingredients were fresh. Every bite had a fresh crunch to it because of the purple cabbage. The chicken was tender and juicy, but not flavourful enough. I used to a very heavily spiced kebab! Also, both of us wished that there was more sauce. It wasn't until after we were done that we noticed that there were sauces on the table. For the same price, the place next store has a bigger portion if my memory serves me correctly. Service:The staff who made our kebab was friendly and asked us how we enjoyed the kebab. When we left, he even said that he hopes that we will visit again. However, the female cashier wasn't too friendly. Final Verdict:I would go again to see how the beef is.
