Chocolate Martini x Cheese Platter:)

I was attracted by the giant silver logo with LED backlight once I stepped out from the lift. The atmosphere was perfect for us to relax and chill while watching those sharkies swimming around. That’s really an extraordinary experience. We sat indoor that day since the balcony was soooooo full. I ordered Chocolate Martini (around $90), I know that they’re using Godiva chocolate liqueur, the texture’s smooth and rich of Godiva flavor. The best Chocolate martini I have ever had. It will be better

I ordered Chocolate Martini (around $90), I know that they’re using Godiva chocolate liqueur, the texture’s smooth and rich of Godiva flavor. The best Chocolate martini I have ever had. It will be better if the chocolate flavor is fuller. (yeaaaaaa I’m chocoholic lol )

 My friend is a cheese monster, we ordered a Cheese Platter($178), which included Brie Cheese, Truffle Cheese and Gorgonzola with some Biscuits. In this platter, BC is mild and slightly sweet in flavor, TC has complex flavor and aroma, Gorgonzola is softer and creamier. That was awesome. I was so full after finishing it since the quantity is for 2 people or more??! (I think). It tastes really good and it’s worth the price.

 After that, we ordered “Blue mist” shisha with milk ($275) to have a try, never have this flavor at LKF or TST shisha bar and which’s highly recommended by the staff. It’s kinda like a blueberry flavor mixed with some mint???!! it’s hard to describe since the flavor was kinda complicated in some way XDDD. This bar have rare variety shisha flavor, such as: Code 69, UFO and Pink. Sounds strange but definitely will try these rare flavor next time. Anyway Blue Mist is a nice try and highly recommended!


题外话/补充资料： One more thing: it seems hard to make reservation sometime, especially happy hours. Anyway my friends and I were having a good time there and we would definitely be coming back.

第一次寫食評在OpenRiceBloop 係我去過LKF 入面最好既bara) 地方, 環境十分舒服, 入面唔會播極大聲嘅音樂，夜景美麗，可以看到IFC 幾好b) 食物, 安格斯漢堡真係幾好味，個牛肉超級正, 肉味香濃大件, 鮮嫩多汁, 有別於一般連鎖漢堡店, 漢堡麵包乾了一點, 仍頗鬆軟...．c) 員工，招呼好，就算只叫一杯house wine坐足2個鐘都幾好招呼， shisha不時來幫我換炭d) 價錢, 係LKF黎講呢度飲野唔貴，一杯house wine 60蚊(happy hours)，house wine紅酒有3種，我試了一種的，味道來說不錯的，e) 水煙, 佢嘅shisha係勁多味道，我叫了藍莓和薄荷，這是一個不錯的味道，味不太甜， 而且自動加炭唔駛錢f) 地址, 很難找到的address我去過一次之後就一個月最少去兩次，真係好舒服

Way overpriced...this place sucks

I've actually been to this place a couple times. Gave it a second chance cuz I thought it would be better next time I visit...but no I was very wrong. I don't think I will ever go again. I even told all my friends not to go to Bloop if they want to chill and grab drinks.Had a dinner date with a friend in lkf yesterday but I arrived early so I decided to go to Bloop and grab a drink while waiting for my friend to get off work. Ordered a drink and when the bill came. I really wanted to ask them y

I really wanted to ask them y is the drink so expensive. $2xx (forgot the exact price) for one drink???? You must be kidding me. Oh and apparently my friends who have tried shisha at Bloop said it sucks.

    While the food, drinks and shisha are decent quality, Bloop is not as innovative a contribution to the already profuse shisha/lounge offerings in LKF as they claim to be. I see they are trying to take the 'luxurious' route, to differentiate from the typical loud and boisterous atmosphere of other shisha bars - it is a good attempt, but the approach they take to attain an exclusive image completely backfired in this case. A luxurious atmosphere cannot be created purely through impressive interior

    I was extremely unimpressed with the service and attitude of the staff there. The first problem is with the waiting staff, the one girl who was assigned to our table seemed completely confused most of the time, unable to take accurate orders and and staring uncomprehendingly as we repeated our orders several times, and trying to take away the menus while my friends were still looking through/trying to order...
    While we were enquiring about the bill, she looked even more confused and panicked and couldn't answer any of our questions. Luckily for her that at the slightest hint of trouble, the manager would suddenly appear and ask us if there was any problem. Maybe it was a well-intentioned attempt at attentive service, but attentive service does not mean making your customers feel like prisoners being watched in a jail cell.

    My experience was not completely unpleasant as I did enjoy the drinks and shisha, but what destroyed any positive feelings was their attitude while handling the bill. We were told beforehand that minimum spending was $250, which I thought was reasonable and we agreed to it. We stayed there for around 3 hours and it was getting late and we we wanted to leave soon, we asked how much we needed to spend in order to reach minimum spending. They answered we needed $350 more, so we ordered another shisha and drink ($430 total). When we actually got the bill though, the manager asked us for the membership card. As my friend who was a member left early because she felt sick, we said we didn't have the membership card.My friend who is a member booked the table and obviously if you can confirm a member reservation through the phone, and give us a member table, you would expect that logically at the end of the night IT IS STILL THAT MEMBER'S TABLE... He refused to let us have the member discount and even though we had our friend on the phone, he insisted that we pay $500 minimum charge per person despite the fact we had a confirmed member booking and that they said themselves we only needed $350 more to reach minimum charge. Can I also point out the absurdity of a $500 minimum charge per person? That is literally enough to buy a whole shisha + 3 drinks PER PERSON. Who actually wants that much?!?!

    After attempting to argue with the manager for about half an hour (who was quite rude and arrogant, not the kind of person you would want to be working in the service industry...), we gave up and decided to just pay up. For 8 people, they tried to charge us $7000. In what world does 7x500 = 7000? After pointing out the calculation mistake we paid $4000 for 8 drinks, 2 dishes of fries and 2 shishas. Absolutely ridiculous.

    I will not be coming back again, not even for their truffle sauce (which I admit was delicious).

      Great views, great shisha and good food. They have shisha flavors I've never seen before. We went with the "Blue...." which is blueberry and mint which was not too sweet with a nice refreshing after taste. The service is attentive and they change the coals before you have to chase somebody down because the ones you have are dead which is great. We had the burger which was a large portion with juicy meat that was not cooked to death. I wanted to try the sandwich but it, like several other ite

Kind of strange that they didn't even have the ingredients for 1 of the main course offerings when there are only 2 to choose from.
      We ordered from the "long drinks" list because they were similarly priced to the well drinks and more bang for your buck. The drinks were strong without being over-powering and for $80 not a bad deal.

      Went with a couple of my friends to LKF earlier this week before the Labor Day holiday and thought we'd check out a new shisha place above Volar called "Bloop". Heard quite a bit of buzz abt the place and wanted to see it for ourselves.The moment we stepped out of the lift, we were met by a gigantic logo wall lit by LEDs that was quite impressive!       We wanted to grab a seat outside on their long outdoors terrace but they were completely full taht night so we went inside and I was completely blown away. I finally understand why they had a shark as their logo, as right smack in the middle of the bar is a gigantic SHARK TANK!! The thing was massive and was absolutely breathtaking! The sharks and stingrays within the tank were just beautiful!

       We ordered a few drinks, including a delicious bottle of Cloudy Bay Chardonnay and a Blue Mist flavored shisha which the staff assured us was their most popular flavor. I could see why! The flavor was like that of blueberries in mist form, very delicious! The bottle of chardonnay was also fantastic although the staff had a slight bungle when they served us a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc instead of Chardonnay, but they quickly and efficiently corrected their mistake when we pointed it out.

       We had an awesome night at Bloop. Their shisha and drinks are fantastic (at least that's what my cocktail drinking friends told me), and their shark tank is an absolute must-see! Hopefully we will get to sit outdoors next time though, as it has a gorgeous view that looks out over Central! The staff were courteous enough but some seemed like they were slightly confused about what they were doing, and the bathroom paper towels seemed to be constantly depleted. But otherwise a great night and we will definitely be returning to Bloop in the near future!
