This place's prices are JACKED. I mean 134 HKD for two bottles of Evian? Are you kidding me?! What other place in the world does this? The hamptons, boutique hotels, the Jinan airport--- uggggh. But those are place you already know just to get tap water and in Hong Kong you can't exactly order "tap" water because you'll probably suffer from drinking it.Their food was very pretty, presentation here is just fabulous. I love that they bring the Pho out to you with raw beef on top and then pour the broth over it at the table. It just made my mouth water. And although the broth had a delightfully clean flavor--- it got pretty boring. They didn't bring out any limes or hot sauce/peppers unless you asked for it, it was missing a lot of key flavors.I wouldn't come back here on my own volition.

This place is always a clean choice of vietnamese food among all the other rather dirty and crowded vietnamese restaurants in central.we didnt order the set lunch. it turns out the a la carte menu provides rather large portion of dishes.the springrolls were nicely done. particularly the lettuce that looked more like a little pot of plaint.the chicken salad was a little spicy and way too big.the noodles were very nice but also way too big. we did not finish the salad and the noodles. a little waste.

朋友有一大疊蘭桂芳集團餐飲食券,上回與一大班人造訪盡興而返;今回他返英在即,決定再訪用盡餘下食券。七時入坐,餐廳只有一檯人客。頭盤是Rice paper rolls with shrimps, pork and herbs: 粉皮薄、煙韌; 咬落爽脆,口感多層次亦非常豐富,還有香茅的poignance,不用點附上的薄荷醬汁也吃得滿足。朋友的Halong Bay Spicy Seafood Soup,他的評語是"hearty";我的露荀蟹肉湯,也是滿滿的一大碗蟹肉撕成絲,露荀卻是罐頭的,淋淋的,飲著吃著不說也不知是露荀。主菜之一的monkfish是兩條fillet,各面舖著heavy的酸味醬。魚肉"鞋口",而且不容易撕開/切開;另外的lamp chops,朋友評為油膩、肥肉太多、花生醬與其格格不入,四件只幹掉三件。還有炒seasonal vegetables,以菜心為主,勝在炒得不油膩,味道就是屋企煮好味。服務、環境無懈可擊(但八時後人多,就開始嘈吵); 菜上得太快,主菜未吃到一半我們已捧著肚皮。 朋友commented:若這是他首次經驗,他不會考慮再來。對我來說,卻是經驗新鮮、不俗的一餐,在此謝過。

原先去樓下西餐廳,但在無心插柳下食越南菜。朋友說以前如沒有預先訂位情況,一定沒有的,現時經濟不好,位子多的是。先奉上一兜炸蝦片,少試一角,很口脆,如果有男士在場,一定食清。有幾款不同價錢的午餐選擇,不太合胃口,索性散叫。越式炒金邊粉-入口淡而無味,朋友說與以前兩碼子的事,立即投訴要求轉另一款。最後換了越式炒飯,這個截然不同,雖然材料簡單,只有雞蛋、扎肉等,薑味很濃而重,飯身不油粒粒乾身。生牛肉河-湯底淡淡的,牛肉又是嚡嚡的,河粉雖幼細通透,但口感很粗糙,同意kc所講完全唔掂。幸好的是我要的是細碗,吃剩不算多。炒雜菜-很齋的感覺,全碟清綠素色,一點鮮艷顏色也沒有,很難吸引食慾。這碟"青"菜與炒飯價值只差$3。其實價錢唔貴,環境也不錯,不過算十分好食,如果食越南菜有更好的選擇。

Very good food and good amount for the price.Each set comes with many different dishes, each individual dish is small but good amount and all together gives a great opportunity to try many different kinds of dishes without gorging on any invidual one. In general all of the dishes were very light and refreshing with refreshing taste, would definitely go again. Only one thing: avoid the curry, it was a sour spot on an otherwise great lunch.
