Ordered the traditional salmon bowl 🍚 There’re a few things to choose from: - Base: White rice/ Brown rice/ Salad 🥗 - Dressing: pick two from six (3 🥵 and 3 not spicy) I picked half white rice 🍚 and half salad 🥗 and salmon with Yuzu and Mala dressing. I like the salad combo A lot of veggiesss <3 feeling healthy 👩🏻🌾 The salmon cubes are quite big! Rich in texture and well seasoned 😋 which is enhanced by the refreshing and flavourful yuzu and mala dressing 🤩

之前喺美国食过poke bowl，返到嚟香港一直想揾一间好食嘅poke。但香港嘅选择真系唔多都系得三至四间，试过好多都唔系真系咁好食。呢一间真系超级惊喜，因为佢个sauce好Rich，有得自选配料同埋可以拣沙律底定系配饭。真系好好食，算系咁多间香港嘅poke最好食嘅一间。份量一个人食啱啱好，价钱唔算好平但系佢位置喺铜锣湾所以都合理。Around $120/bowl！另外亦都叫咗杯Cocktail饮，Hotnail。都好清爽，配左个橙皮系入面有少少嘅涩味令到饮落唔会太浓酒精👍🏻

I visited the flagship Pololi restaurant in Causeway Bay on Saturday with a friend for lunch. It was my first visit to this location having visit Graham Street venue on several occasions. The restaurant is located on Fashion Walk, a short walk from Causeway Bay MTR station. There was no need to reserve and we were immediately seated. There is indoor and outdoor seating available. We chose a high table indoors and had plenty of space. The décor is modern with a wood finish throughout. The kitchen is located in the centre of the venue and the staff are dotted around and available to help.The menu is extensive with many variations of the traditional poke bowl available. I chose a poke bowl with brown rice, tuna, salmon, traditional spicy sauce, almonds, cashews, cucumber, carrot and pomegranate. We waited about 10 minutes for the bowl to arrive. It looked great – a mosaic of colour (see picture)! I enjoy poke and this bowl did not disappoint. The flavour and texture of the fish was great (it tasted fresh). The other components and rice complimented the tuna and salmon. I enjoy the spicy flavours! I had a coke to drink.The restaurant was quiet, and my friend and I were able to talk without raising our voices. The staff were helpful and attentive. We were in the venue for about an hour, but I felt we could have stayed longer without feeling pressured to leave. This would make a great date venue! I felt it was good value for the volume and taste and I look forward to trying more of the menu on my next visit.

The first time I visited Pololi was over a year ago and I vividly remember being so disappointed with the service I swore I would never return. Fast forward to a year later, I find myself craving poke. I payed over $150 for a regular sized bowl of poke which is rather absurd considering the amount you would typically pay for a decent bowl of poke in the US. Similarly, I think it should be noted that they don’t even serve sushi rice with the poke, instead, they offer WARM, steamed, HARD white rice. I personally believe that the most important aspect of any sushi dish is the rice quality, which was just terrible in this case. This to me, just broke the whole dish. There are many other cheaper and better options for poke in Hong Kong. I never write OpenRice reviews, but I really feel that writing this is necessary as I’ve never been this unsatisfied with any other restaurant.
