My “Noosh-e-Jaan” (Bon appetit)debut Persian food experience at Saffron, the first and only Persian Restaurant in HK, and I’ve been awesomely impressed!The dinner started with two traditional Persian Drinks … their signature Saffron Lemonade and I have Orange Blossom Drink which have lovely mellow aroma of orange blossom and slight sweetness.Then we have two yogurt appetisers - Mirza Ghasemi 烤茄子泥 and Mast-O-Khiyar波斯風味青瓜乳酪蘸醬 that pleasantly refreshed our taste buds.Highlight of the dinner obviously is Kebab Lovers雜錦烤肉串 with: Lamb Koobideh 烤免治羊肉串Chicken Koobideh 烤免治雞肉串Saffron Joojeh Kebab 烤雞胸肉串Chenjeh (Beef Kebab) 烤牛柳Persian Style BBQ Grilled Chicken Wings 波斯風味燒烤雞翼Served with Saffron Rice and Flat Bread, 藏紅花米飯及中東烤餅, Shirazi Salad and Homemade Garlic, Basil, Chilli Sauces. This is completely stunning and gorgeously delicious 💯We also tried another main course Feserjan 紅石榴核桃燉雞. It’s is a homemade festive Sweet & Sour Stew with Chicken, Pomegranate & Ground Walnuts Sauce. It’s yummy and really one of a kind!This authentic Persian feast was delightfully wrapped up with Classic Baghlava 果仁蜜餅 and Persian Black Tea 波斯紅茶. As what my friend mentioned we really enjoyed the experience to taste the delicious food. It’s simple yet sophisticated, authentic and nicely served and presented.Persian food has a subtle balance between the use of fresh herbs and spices, sweet and sour flavour … Persian cuisine mythology of food categorized as either “hot” (garmi) or “cold” (sardi) ie it helps to restore our inner balance. Ghormeh Sabzi 香草羊肉腰豆羹配番紅花飯。羊肉羹不僅看來如野菜湯羹,連氣味就如攪爛的草藥!侍應端上來時,頓時心想:「這氣味好古怪,有點像中藥,更像台灣7-11的關東煮,但要強上3倍!」吃一口,有一種熟悉的香草味,卻又說不出是甚麼(苦惱中......)。同時,內裏有好多腰豆(難不成這頓飯我所吃的腰豆比我之前所吃的,還要來得多?)羊肉則炆得腍,一嚼就散開,不下於媽煲豬骨湯所剩下的豬肉。驚訝的是,羊肉不羶,還以為是牛腩。番紅花飯可沒有番紅花味,但卻粒粒分明且軟硬適中,好味!外形看來像印度米,但更長。羊肉羹混和米飯吃,頓昤勾起大學時所吃的粟米肉粒飯!(還好不是肉磚)其實,我覺得這是波斯咖哩。Gheymeh Bademjan蕃茄茄子羊肉羹,拌有黃碗豆和青豆。氣味較Ghormeh Sabzi 來正常,而味道則是蕃茄汁味,豆類可以增加咀嚼的層次。羊肉仍然是腍,但羶味較濃,是我喜歡的口味!跟Ghormeh Sabzi 用上一樣的香草,就是不懂得它的名稱,陷入苦惱......Fesenjan配番紅花茶 我喜歡凍飲,但番紅花茶卻是少數的例外。熱的番紅花茶能帶出番紅花茶的香味(近乎的淡淡玫瑰花味),過後還有一股餘韻。Fesenjan 是雞肉羹,甜酸的味道就是淡淡的茄汁醬,好易入口。雞肉則有肉味,較平常的茶餐廳好不少。

SAFFRON Persian Cuisine @saffron.hk 📍:中環嘉咸街47-53號嘉利大廈地下E號舖🚗:中環地鐵D2出口 步行8分鐘📞:+852 2595-9900💲:~HKD380/head for dinnerFood quality✔️:Kebab Lovers 總結:😋淨係食咗1款 其實說實話換轉喺其他餐廳就唔應該寫食評嘅 不過由於本身餐廳晚市選擇唔多 而且今次叫嘅又係大雜燴 所以都係決定下筆😋作為一間聲稱全港第一間賣波斯菜嘅餐廳🍴當然就吸引我去試啦 為大家試咩乜都有嘅Kebab Lovers 材料好豐富 有羊肉及雞肉koobideh(即伊朗碎肉烤串) 、有藏紅花嘅烤雞、牛肉Kebab、雞翼、小蕃茄、藏紅花飯、青椒、Naan、Shiraz沙拉再配自製三款醬:蒜、羅勒同辣椒🌶️😋其實一睇就知份量驚人 最尾我哋係嚴重食唔哂 波斯菜嚟講冇好明顯食到同其他中東菜系有咩唔同 所以鍾愛食中東菜嘅食肉獸朋友可以一試💪🏼🤔️小店關係 所以真係唔多選擇揀 不過我一向buy小店專精不專多嘅 所以對我嚟講唔係缺點🤔️口味唔太重 所以建議都蘸醬食較好 蒜>=羅勒>>>>辣椒😨以呢個收費嚟講服務可以再做好啲 話哂人均都$300另收加一🥹

As an iraninan, i guarantee their taste is similar to what we have in our country Their kebabs are perfect.Most HKers (same as my gf) can not eat lamb, but i promise you will be ok after trying their lamb. The most famous food of Iran is GhormehSabzi.If you have never tried it, it is a mustIf you are a tea lover, try their Saffron Tea 🍵

可能我自己對異國菜式,比較有偏好。這家餐館,完全無另我失望。知道佢開咗。就直覺要去品嚐。環境優雅,裝潢得宜,乾淨。肉類拼飯,三隻肉,雞牛羊肉,都叫咗。全部超好味。肉質食得出是先手打過的。飲品有熱凍。我叫杯橙xx茶。很ok。晚餐都不少人流。午餐應該排隊了。推薦!! 鴨公仔是自己帶去的,送朋友的。
