This izakaya specializes in yakitori grilled over binchotan charcoal,  made with almost every part of a chicken - thigh, wing, neck, liver, tail, skin and more. Though the various body parts of a chicken may be rare in the local dining scene, the taste did not wow us, and I believe that there are many more kushiyakis in HK with similar or even better offerings.

We were instead taken aback by their poor service. As we were aware that only 50% of the restaurant would be available for walk-ins, and that they are hugely popular, my friend arrived before the shop opened to avoid waiting in line. Nevertheless, he was the first on the waiting line, only to know that another party behind him had been arranged seats before he was. It was because not all of his party was present, which is understandable but which he had not been informed of; staff didn't even ask when his companions would arrive. Not a great start of a night, but service throughout the meal was just as uncool. Staff picked up our plates one second after they were emptied - efficient as you may call it, but we found it stressful and too much in a hurry.

Food was alright, we liked the [ chicken meatballs ] and [ clams yaki soba ] in particular. However, not recommended for people who dislike cracking your voice amid loud music, and people who value service at a restaurant.

Yardbird》是一家米芝莲一星烧鸟店,主打备长炭烧制鸡串烧;使用三黄鸡的不同部位,包括鸡腿、鸡翼、鸡颈、鸡肝、鸡尾还有更多刁钻部位
虽说是米芝莲一星、串烧烧得满香,但整体来说,不算非常惊喜;反而,服务方面就令我们整体体验不算太好

长话短说,就是等候入座时,排在我们后面的食客比我们还早入座,原因是我们的group还没有到齐。完全可以理解,但事先没有先通知,也没有问我们朋友何时到,总之「你们要不就等到下一轮,要不就走」
为了尝尝他们的人气烧鸟,最后也留下了... 
入座后,服务员也好不了多少~服务员总是匆匆忙忙的,吃完一碟就收走盘子,令人吃得很有压力;餐厅本来的定位是casual的,但实际上完全相反
唯一令人比较开心的一点是本来预计人均大概五百块,但实际只是三百多🤣,但也吃的很饱~

环境来说,一步进门口,比较是酒吧的设置-高脚桌椅、吧台;再往里面走,则有一般餐桌
灯光昏暗,音乐嘈吵,跟朋友聊天都要拉高喉咙喊著说话

这道是很多人最爱的居酒屋菜式,亦是Yardbird的招牌菜~
烧得焦香可口,里面有脆脆的鸡软骨;蘸好蘸满照烧酱油跟蛋黄,超滋味!

Sweet corn tempura 粟米天妇罗 ($70 / $35@)
这道也是这里的招牌菜之一,期待值超级高,可惜感觉一般
粒粒玉米做成球体,炸成天妇罗再配上海盐、黑椒
一咬下,即吃到粒粒味道微甜的玉米🌽
虽然具创意,但味道上没什么惊喜😕

Clams yaki soba 蚬日式炒面 ($230)
餐牌上的饭面选择不少,但本人好推荐这款期间限定菜式,虽然价钱不菲
尤其是蚬肉爱好者,一定要点!
小麦面用上忌廉炒制,吃起来很creamy,有意大利面的感觉
看其他食客的图片,他们的蚬比较大只,摆盘也有不同;我们这晚的蚬较小,但份量较多,而且每只都很厚肉、味鲜;酱汁的忌廉都煮进去了~
