After doing something in Kwun Tong, we decided to grab dinner before heading home. Having had quite a lot of junk food recently, we came back to this healthy and fast Yee Siu Kitchen for an early dinner. It was a small counter near an entrance of 鸿图中心. There were some seats just outside the counter for you to eat in. As it had been a while, their menu had changed a bit with some new items. Yet the 炖汤 and shredded chicken rice set were still here. As it had been a while, their menu had changed a bit with some new items. Yet the 炖汤 and shredded chicken rice set were still here. There were 5 手撕鸡 sets including steamed Jasmine rice. Purchase of any shredded chicken meal could top up by $13 to get a soup or $16 to get Abalone, Red Dates and Chicken Soup. So each set of rice plus soup cost as cheap as $70. All the sets could be converted to 鱼汤米线 or 拌面 at $8. All sets came with a complimentary soy milk or hot jasmine tea. There were 4 soups to choose from.
We decided to try two new soups and new shredded chicken flavours. We also topped up for the fish soup noodles. We also added two cold soy milk.

Everything was served separately in takeaway containers except for the soup which was served very very hot.

The soups were served in 炖汤 bowls and were super super hot. The Abalone, Red Dates and Chicken Soup was really delicious with two small abalones which were so good to chew and well seasoned. Yummy! There was a super tender chicken foot which had the perfect texture. There was also a chicken wing cut into halves which were again super tender and yummy. Obviously the soup had been well boiled. There were two small pork pieces, a dried longan, a red date and some red seeds. I had to admit it was a very very good soup. Highly recommended. Don't save the $3 to go for the cheaper soups.

The other soup was more like homemade soup. There was a big piece of lotus root, pork rib, carrot, pork pieces and candied date. Although not specified, I could find dried octopus in the soup which largely accounted for the flavour of the soup.

The shredded chicken was really good! Chewy and super rich in chicken flavour. I suspect that they were from free range chicken! Very good. Some white sesame were sprinkled on top to enhance flavour. They served the sauces for the shredded chicken on the side for you to add on your own. I ordered Thai Hot and Sour while my dinner partner ordered Japanese Sesame Dressing. Each of us could add the sauce we liked to the chicken. But honestly, I really thought that the shredded chicken was good enough eaten on their own! So considerate of them that there were some boiled lettuces served on the side. Healthy and yummy!

The rice noodles were very smooth and pretty al dente as the fish soup was served separately. The noodles and fish soup were super hot. You could start eating immediately after pouring the fish soup into the bowl of noodles and mixing them together a little bit. The noodles went with some pickled cabbages and 韭菜 to enhance flavour. Portion of the noodles was quite big. One thing worthy mentioning was that there were some really smooth bean curd sheets added to the rice noodles which made it even smoother. Well done! The fish soup was quite milky. We finished all the soup and didn't feel thirsty afterwards. My dinner partner ordered the same.

The cold soy milk was of the perfect degree of sweetness and was very delicious. My dinner partner ordered the same.
In short, the shredded chicken was really good and the soup was also great value for money! Somewhere to go for healthy and yummy food at a reasonable cost! Service was very good as the cashier was very helpful.
