After tasting the tiny SIFT's macarons which are very tasteful, i went to this chocolate brand shop to try out their macarons.order 6 piecesSuper Amer (dark choc) - of course this one is the best as usual. if the dark chocolate filling doesn't good enough, i think they can close the shop.Vanille (香草) - sory that i can't taste any vanille flavour, i only taste something very sweet with sweet chocolate. Cafe (咖啡) - very weak coffee taste in this piece, and even worse is, i couldn't tell it was coffee macaron when i first bite it.
Passion'in (热情果) - very nice one, i like the sour of passion fruit which can balance the sweetness of milk chocolate Ganache.
Figu'in (无花果) - another piece that the way too sweet. it doesn't impress me at all. oh gosh!.......
西柚 - may be this is the "seasonal surprise" piece. you know that it is grapefruit flavour when you first taste it. A bit bitter, a bit fruity, but the milk chocolate ganache steal the flavour.
The perfect macaron for me contains crusty egg shell and soft texture inside. And the JPH's macarons don't have the crusty shell and too much filling between it. Honestly, i am a bit disappointed about it. And i don't know why most of the JPH macarons' filling contain chocolate ganache. May be this is their style that they want to make a different from other macaron providers. That is too much even i like chocolate a lot.
The dark chocolate macaron does save marks in this review. Otherwise, i am sure i will give an "unhappy face" to it.
