Got a lunch date at a Japanese restaurant in TST where I had never been as it was a new restaurant! It was located in a very quiet street just outside MTR exit which was not hard to find. The entrance was on the G/F and easy to see. It seemed to be 3-storey high and we were seated on the first floor which was pretty quiet. Their lunch set menu had quite a lot of choices including sashimi, sushi, hot pot, stone pot, meat dishes etc. Prices ranged from $128 to $198. 10% service charge applied at weekends and public holidays only. All sets included salad, miso soup, steamed egg, snack and ice-cream. We picked a sashimi don and a cooked dish to share.

As listed on the menu, sashimi included Japanese Pink Shrimp, Yellow Tail, Salmon, Scallop, Crab Meat and Crab Cream, Sea Urchin, Crab Roe. There was one shrimp and two pieces each for yellow tail, salmon and scallop. The shrimp was super giant and it was super fresh and meaty. There was a slice of sea urchin which was probably the thickest I had ever had and it was super creamy and fresh. All other sashimi was very fresh. The crab cream was mixed with the crab meat and made the crab meat so tasty. Underneath the sashimi, there were some egg shreds and seaweed on top of the rice. The rice was not plain sushi rice and had been seasoned so that the colour was brown. Yet, the sushi rice was not overly salty at all. Wasabi and some sliced pickled ginger were served as well. Some white sesame seeds and chopped spring onion were sprinkled on top. Quality was quite good as a whole.

There were 2 slices of cod fish which were super smooth and sweet! They tasted even better with the salad dressing on the side. There were just a few bones which made it easy to eat. On top, there was a thin pickled radish. Accompanying the fish, there was a bowl of rice.

Salad & Snack (included in lunch set)
Salad contained fresh salad greens, corn and a cherry tomato in yuzu vinegar dressing. Snack was super fresh baby spinach in sesame dressing. Such a snack was usually served only in those top notch Japanese restaurants.
Steamed Egg (included in lunch set)
Steamed egg was super hot. It was very smooth with Chinese mushroom, chicken, Japanese style fish ball slice and 银杏. I particularly liked how it tasted free of salt.
Miso Soup (included in lunch set)
Miso soup had a lot of chopped bean curd puffs and seaweeds. It was not overly salty at all.

There were 3 ice cream scoops to choose from, including green tea, black sesame and tofu. We ordered the latter two. The ice cream scoops were of super good quality. They were so rich and yet still super smooth. A great end to the meal.
Overall, we were both very satisfied with this meal. Quality of the food was good. Environment was decent. Seating was comfortable. Service was efficient. Even the tableware looked so brand new and nice! Yet price was not expensive. Would definitely come back from time to time.
