I purposely registered Open Rice account to put my feedback here regarding this so-call “Fine Dining” Szechuan House!Yet their customer service level, Food Quality both are NOT fine at all and NOT worth for paying so much. Yet their customer service level, Food Quality both are NOT fine at all and NOT worth for paying so much.

Firstly the staff there were always showing black face as if the customers owing them millions of money! While I was ordering add on items to the main dish, the waitress who was taking my order talked to me with total black face “those items you added are not free”!

Hello, what is this kind of attitude in hospitality industry?

After making my order, I noticed something like insect in their FAMOUS TEA!
And the tea pot looked like was being washed for really long time!!!

I called for attention for the in-charge person, he clearly saw me waving my hand towards him, yet he gave no response, and sent over the blackface waitress, I asked her what was the tiny black insect in the tea cup, she then took away the tea cup, the in-charge approached my by giving the explanation “oh, the insect might already there with the daisy, and covered by the daisy itself, so we wouldn’t know there was insect inside”, I was like Excuse me? Were you trying to tell me that insect found in the tea was acceptable?!

I told him clearly that I didn’t want to have another replacement tea, and I want to know what would they do about this kind of case, the guy gave me a lemon water, which I appreciated and continued my dinner.

Interesting part was the bill payment, they presented me the bill with everything even including the TEA with that insect in it!!!

How ridiculous is this???? Does it making any sense in hospitality industry as a fine dining restaurant that handled case with food/drinks quality in such way??? There was issue with the drink quality and you still expect the customer to pay that item??? And you told customer it could be done to remove that item from bill if the customer would like to!!! Are you kidding me? Why would you need the customer to tell you to do so while you are clearly aware the quality issue of the drinks???

It’s not a lot of money that costing me for that cup of TEA, it’s totally their service level that totally below average level!!!

I strongly recommend anyone else to try other restaurants with good food quality, great customer service yet reasonable price.
